Checklist of Items I Need to Complete Your Resume
Before I start, Please answer the questions on this checklist. It will help me write your resume. You may write the answers in a regular email.
Is this a Regular, Government, Federal, or Military resume?
Include an updated address, phone number, email address, and how you want your name to appear on the resume.
Email any existing resumes you may have, even if you take a picture of the document - that works for me.
List your jobs - job title, start & end date, month and year, city and state of each career. - INCLUDING YOUR CURRENT OR LAST JOB If it’s on the old resume you provided, there is no need to repeat it.
List all the duties of each position you want me to include in the resume. I research each job, so if you need help finding all the duties, just let me know, and I will fill that part in for you.
List all the unique skills you have acquired throughout your career experience that you want me to include in the resume.
List everything you want to include in your resume and the year you completed it.
Education / Special Training / Awards / Talents / Promotions / Certifications.
Email me the job link(s) description of the position you want to apply for or any specific job(s) you are interested in.
Include why you need a Resume and Cover Letter so I will have a better understanding when I’m writing your resume: (Examples)
Career change.
Better position within the company.
You were laid off from your current job and are looking for a new one.
Your current job is getting eliminated.
Your company is downsizing, and everyone needs an updated resume to be employed or promoted.
Your current employer needs an updated Resume to decide who is more qualified to stay.
I last updated my resume a few years ago and need it ready.
I never had a Resume and want a new one created.
List anything else you wish to include in your resume that we haven’t discussed.
If you are doing an updated LinkedIn Profile, please include your username and temporary password to update your profile. If it's a new LinkedIn profile, I will use your current email and create a temporary password you can change later.
